When starting a new chapter in life, we all face invisible struggles. My own path to becoming a tattoo artist in Orlando, Florida, was far from simple. It was a long journey of survival, major life transitions, and starting completely from scratch. But those challenges taught me the value of resilience, discipline, and simplicity.
When I finally launched my studio, dorfi.ink, I wanted to build deep, genuine trust with my clients. Many artists choose not to use websites, managing all bookings through social media DMs. However, I wanted my clients to have a seamless, safe, and professional experience – where booking a session and handling payments is as transparent and comfortable as possible.
At first, I did what most creators do: I signed up for popular subscription-based booking platforms. I did this because it was fast and allowed me to keep my focus entirely on my core craft – drawing, designing, and practicing for hours on fake skin to ensure perfect lines. I didn’t want to waste my creative energy on web development. But after just a month, those platforms doubled their already high subscription fees while offering very limited, rigid features.
On the other hand, ordering a custom-built website with booking calendars and payment gateways from a professional web studio easily costs tens of thousands of dollars – an impossible budget when you are trying to establish yourself.
So, I decided to find a better way. I built my own system.
Today, my website costs me only ~$60 a year (just the basic cost of domain and hosting). It is 100% mine, with zero expensive monthly subscriptions. It serves as my personal, highly flexible “landing base” for everything I do.

This structured routine is my anchor – it is what keeps me grounded and helps me manage anxiety and panic attacks.
